Willkommen auf Help Fiji Kids

Angela Hoffmann, born in 1966 and Martin Hoffmann, born in 1970 from Vienna.

Angela is a self-employed beautician at Pure Beauty Cosmetic and Martin works in the prison academy in Vienna. He is also active as President for Austria in the International Police Association. Her honeymoon took her back to Fiji in 2018 and together they experienced the wonderful Fijian culture.

From 1995 - 2007 Angela was head of Maravu Plantation Resort on Taveuni. And since then she has loved the islands. Fijians are considered to be the friendliest people on the planet.

Unfortunately, they are feeling the effects of climate change and the economic consequences of Covid 19. Poverty is increasing. No tourism since March 2020. Fewer jobs, no income ...

In September 2020 the idea was born to help directly with the help of active, volunteer friends on the island. Said and done. A phone call, a few emails back and forth, the first PayPal transfer, the first donation, photos of happy school children and delicious meals, all provided by volunteers.

We were very happy to set up this association because we were able to ensure that the help arrives on site. We are so grateful for our health, our wealth, our happiness. That's why we want to help. We all share the same planet together. We are all equally valuable.

If we help these children start life with a good education now, these people can later help us deal with the problems of climate change.

Angela, born in Germany 1966 and Martin Hoffmann, born 1970 in Austria, live in Vienna.

Angela is owner of Pure Beauty Cosmetic and Martin works in the Austrian Prison Service Academy. He also is acting President for ´International Police Association Austria´. They came to Fiji on their honeymoon in 2018 and fell in love with the culture and the people who are famous for being the most friendly people on the planet.

Angela has some history there: from 1995 - 2007 she was Managing Director of Maravu Plantation Resort on Taveuni and she is still in touch with Fijian friends and their famillies.

Now more and more children suffer from poverty and can't got to school because their parents can't afford to give them packed lunch. The islanders have to deal with climate chance. They feel the wrecking impact from the Covid19 pandemic. No tourism since March 2020. No jobs, no income. Third world problems ...

The idea to help directly, not through a large organization but straight into projects, was born in September 2020. With the great voluntary help from friends there, it only took one initial phonecall and some texting until the first donation was wired. It is with great joy and honor, to be able to bring this into life, one step at a time.

If we help the neediest of children, to ensure they get a good meal in school and learn better and have a better chance for education, we help to raise the next generation to deal with the future of our planet.

We all have the same worth.

WHAT WE DO / WHAT WE DO

We organize meals for school children in Fiji whose families are seriously affected by poverty and who could no longer go to school without this help.

We help street children on the main island of Viti Levu in the cities of Nadi and Suva to enable them to lead a decent life.

We feed children from very poor families on Fiji Islands like Taveuni, to allow them to go back to school and learn, to enable them to have a future.

We help streetkids on the main Island Viti Levu in the towns of Nadi and Suva, so they may have a worthy chance in life.
